MARIA LOURDES CHAN
Yoga Teacher & Practitioner
I believe that health is more important than wealth and that to live is to serve.
My motto is to uplift people spiritually, mentally, and physically.
My classes are fun and challenging while centered around mindfulness, awareness, breathing, and nurturing the body and mind.
The goal of my classes is focused on helping my students to build more robust mental and physical capabilities whilst making non-competition and compassion a genuine part of the practice.
My sequences aim to move away from denser forms of physical practice to allow for more subtle techniques such as utilizing the breath to promote the movement of energy and facilitate the union of breath, body, and mind.
If there’s a muscle I see you not using, I’ll make you work it!
I push you to your limits, with all the love in the world.

Alma Gabriel
“Always be a work in Progress”.

Alma started her Yoga practice in 2010 with the goal of losing weight and helping her with Pole dancing and stress at work. Soon after, she found Bikram Yoga aka Hot 26, and fell in love with the practice. With that, Alma began to search for more. Hence, she discovered Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga, which she started to include in her practice. In 2015, Alma did her 200 hrs Yoga Alliance Hatha Yoga Certified (2015) with the Singapore School of Meditation and Yoga with the aim of deepening her practice and understanding of asanas.
Jill Alphonso
To me, yoga is an ongoing journey toward self-realization.
I first experienced dynamic meditation at the age of 14, then found yoga at age 22. I knew these were practices I would continue throughout my life. As a teacher, my hope is to give you an experience that turns your awareness to the presence of your being. My goal is to have you look in the mirror and, working with your physical form and alignment, go beyond to see much more than your physical form. I would love for you to begin to realize the beauty of your intangible, infinite Self that persists beyond the material world.

She started out her yoga journey back in 2011 in Melbourne and continued the pursuit with teachers training course with Bikram himself in the Fall 2014 intake in Khao Lak Thailand. Excited to share this passion, bringing forth a love and respect for the art of yoga, and all that it encompasses at Casa Maria!
